Based in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, our headquarters sit at the heart of Japan’s eyewear industry. Eyewear frame manufacturing began here in 1905, and with over 110 years of history, it represents the foundation of eyewear making in Japan. In the late 1970s—during the Showa 50s era in Japan—we developed the world’s first titanium eyewear frame technology. Titanium quickly became the global standard for premium eyewear thanks to its lightweight strength, flexibility, and hypoallergenic properties. Today, Sabae produces over 95% of Japan’s eyewear frames. AirFly was born from this legacy of innovation, precision, and world-renowned craftsmanship rooted in Sabae.
The adjustable nose pads and temple arms, key features of AirFly, are made possible by the advanced titanium processing techniques developed in Sabae over many years. This technology allows for a flexible, lightweight frame that takes full advantage of titanium’s natural strength and resilience. Each part can be finely adjusted to match the wearer's individual fit, delivering both performance and comfort.

AirFly is the world's first*.* sports sunglasses designed without a nose pad Instead of attaching a nose pad to the frame, it features a side pad system that wraps around the head for support. This patented structure was officially registered in Japan in April 2013 (Patent Acquirer: Bridge Corporation Limited, Miyashita). It is also patent-registered in the United States, South Korea, China, and Hong Kong, with additional applications filed throughout Europe. AirFly is believed to be the world's first*.* of its kind.
AirFly was originally developed for sports, but today eyewear has evolved beyond performance alone. We are currently seeking new opportunities and welcome all inquiries as we continue expanding into new categories and sales channels.
